Skate Report Wed 9 June 2004 Skate Report Wed 9 June 2004

Here are some photos for our Fantastic Chatswood Skate on the 9th. I was really impressed how many skaters were able to turn up in time to catch the earlier train. What a great skate. Sean came out of premature retirement and met us on the Train at Milsons Point (and not only that, he had parked his van at the top of Luna Park hill for our return journey).

We took the route now made famous by Sean and started with two quick runs in the car park made equally as famous by Phil. We skated up to Mowbray Rd and at the top of Elizabeth St reminded everybody not to turn under the bridge but go straight ahead at the roundabout. What a great run and when you get to the roundabout you have still 2 thirds of your run left.

We got a couple more of these quick runs in and then ended up at the top of the suspension bridge back to Cammeray. We then went up to Neutral Bay where we had a great uninterupted run down Ben Boyd Rd while there was some discussion whether we should skate Bent St next time.

At the bottom and back to Kirribilli where the strategic placing of Seanís Van meant we only had to skate up the hill once before we were able to get 3 more lifts back up (yep, that was 4 downhill runs thanks to the patience of those who waited at the top).

Once back over the Harbour Bridge the Ski Hill from the top at Observatory Hill beckoned (again more than once) before we headed for a well deserved drink.

To everyone who missed this skate you sure missed a big fun skate. Lets do Chatswood again soon.

Thanks to everyone for a great skate.

Keep skating

Web site Design and Data based Features by

Sydney Bladers is not run by any one, no one owns it, no one is responsible for it, this web site is designed to help this sorry bunch of bladers who meet up every Wednesday night for a great time, no meeting times are planed by anyone, it is just a freak coincidence that up to 70 people meet up at the same place and time every Wednesday night and head off on the same direction some where around the city for 2 hours.

The web designer of this site (me) is not responsible if you do something stupid because of this web site, if you do I will plead insanity, I have many people on the city skate that will hold proof to this in court if need be. You read this information at your own risk, if you do something stupid then you are an idiot and don't come crying to me about it. If you take this disclaimer too seriously or think its stupid then you have no scene of humor and are probably a very boring person.
