Skate Report Wed 26 May 2004 Skate Report Wed 26 May 2004

Tonight there were those who wanted to skate out to the Airport & those who wanted a quiet skate and the quiet skate group won (or so they thought). We skated through the City and down to Central. We then skated out to the back of Redfern when someone said “seeing we’re so close to the Airport why don’t we go there?” So we did! Poor Kirsten, who had travelled halfway around the world to skate with Sydney Bladers, was in for a big push for her first skate in Sydney.

Once we skated the loop road around the ‘Domestic’ Airport someone thought we should then venture across to the International Airport. So we did! Once we got to the International Airport we were so close to Rockdale that we skated across the Cooks River to the highway. Ben & I were skating at the back when we saw what looked like a park with bike tracks beside the river to the highway so we got the scenic route.

From here we skated up Princes Highway to Newtown where we took the detour down Missenden Rd and across to Glebe where we ran down Pyrmont Bridge Rd to the Fish Markets. It wasn’t far from here to the Casino Hill at Pyrmont where if my memory serves me correctly I got a bit more than 5 runs down the hill before we headed off the already closed pub.

Well done Kirsten you sure picked a good way to see part of Sydney. Hope to see you on a skate again soon.

Keep skating

Sydney Bladers is not run by any one, no one owns it, no one is responsible for it, this web site is designed to help this sorry bunch of bladers who meet up every Wednesday night for a great time, no meeting times are planed by anyone, it is just a freak coincidence that up to 70 people meet up at the same place and time every Wednesday night and head off on the same direction some where around the city for 2 hours.

The web designer of this site (me) is not responsible if you do something stupid because of this web site, if you do I will plead insanity, I have many people on the city skate that will hold proof to this in court if need be. You read this information at your own risk, if you do something stupid then you are an idiot and don't come crying to me about it. If you take this disclaimer too seriously or think its stupid then you have no scene of humor and are probably a very boring person.
