Skate Report Wed 14 Apr 2004

We had a pretty big run tonight out over Pyrmont Bridge and straight up towards the Anzac Bridge where we planned to skate out past Birkenhead Point.

From the top of Jones St at Pyrmont David took everyone down to the Bridge ramp by the steps while an impatient few decided to take the rough road around Bowman St but found on the first fast corner there had been a hole dug across the road and a lip was waiting to catch someone. Lou was the unlucky one to warn everyone else with the quietest of ooops! as she hit the fence. Fearing the worst she left in a Taxi to seek some attention on her ankle. I hear that there were no breaks but some tendon bruising that may take a couple of weeks to heal. Get well soon Lou we hope to see you back out here soon.

Once we caught up to the rest of the group at the top of Anzac Bridge we took of towards Iron Cove Bridge and around to Birkenhead Point where a couple of daredevils took the run from higher just to joust with cars on the roundabout.

Henley Marine Drive was nearly the undoing of Westie with his quads finding the rough surface tough going. I skated back to see if he had fallen just as he called out he was pulling the pin but the surface came good just in time for the big push back up Lilyfield Rd.

After a couple of quick runs down the Casino Hill we made our way back to the pub where Helen & Graham had joined Chantelle much earlier for some drinks while we around Iron Cove.

What a pretty good push tonight. Thanks to everyone for the great skate.

Get well soon Lou.

See you all next week.

Web site Design and Data based Features by IT3.com.au

Sydney Bladers is not run by any one, no one owns it, no one is responsible for it, this web site is designed to help this sorry bunch of bladers who meet up every Wednesday night for a great time, no meeting times are planed by anyone, it is just a freak coincidence that up to 70 people meet up at the same place and time every Wednesday night and head off on the same direction some where around the city for 2 hours.

The web designer of this site (me) is not responsible if you do something stupid because of this web site, if you do I will plead insanity, I have many people on the city skate that will hold proof to this in court if need be. You read this information at your own risk, if you do something stupid then you are an idiot and don't come crying to me about it. If you take this disclaimer too seriously or think its stupid then you have no scene of humor and are probably a very boring person.
