Skate Report Wed 12 Mar 2003
To be or not to be...that is the Question??? Whether tis it nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or to die.. to sleep perchance to dream arrhh there the rub! to bloody procrastinate!!!! So Wednesday night began as it had started at the beginning except at the beginning there was no one at the Palace Gates in Macquarie St. and Rob, Chris and myself turned up at the beginning say at 8.40pm and even though that was the meeting place for the City skate it certainly was not the beginning of anything as there was no one there!!!!!

We wondered for a moment about how many people had shown up from the webpage (sydneybladers.org) and had finally found the palace gates in Macquarie St and found the area empty!!!! They would be totally devastated and probably take their pain back to their country of origin and pass on the upsetting experience to their fellow country man and women, whom would then be possibly alienated by Australia and begin the creation of a weapons program of weapons of mass destruction to eliminate Australians on their home soil! The basis of the fact in that they had been offended whilst visiting Sydney and then wanting to wipe out Australians from the face of the earth with weapons of mass destruction are just a normal every day occurrence in this day and age and no one should be particularly worried!!! I mean all of us as Sydney 'bladders' know what it is like to grind the skin off the arm, elbow, knee or face in such a way that it is slowly disintegrating as it is wearing away by the pristine black and sandpaper like tarmac which is really very similar to the effects of mustard gas that disintegrates the skin off the bone in very much the same fashion but without any grating effect!!!!!!!!!!!

So we headed up to Saint Mary’s’ Cathedral and what do you guess we found……..Bill standing on the steps begging everyone to allow him to lead the skate and that Phil A was not around to muck him up!!! Don’t worry Phil A he couldn’t muck it up with out you!!!!! Just Jokin Phil!!

So the skate began….something like 50 minutes later……but what a wonderful feeling when we actually got moving as against standing around pretending we actually had something in common with the other skaters other than skating!!!!!!!!!

We headed up South which is actually down but only because we look at the map that way and are that way inclined but actually some people are the other way inclined and parade up oxford street every year at a certain time of the year…..

We headed towards Fox Studios once again and greeted the friendly security guards whom were delighted to see us so they could actually say something…at least once this particular night, to somebody……

We then had a little family tantrum but finally moved like a school of fish into the direction of a great skate which headed out along the bus lane along Alison road then up the hill towards NSW Uni then down the classic hill to Anzac Pde and then back along the back streets of Rosebury then onto Fouveau street where Chris and Johnny be good HAD to skate back up and do it for the second time, onto the tunnel and under Broadway, up Harris st back streets…then we eventually ended up at the Cargo bar at Darling harbour where Chris Cunningham delighted the experienced crowds by doing the stairs backwards on 5 wheelers. What a great night!

And to all you rockers out there....keep rockin'

Johnny

Sydney Bladers is not run by any one, no one owns it, no one is responsible for it, this web site is designed to help this sorry bunch of bladers who meet up every Wednesday night for a great time, no meeting times are planed by anyone, it is just a freak coincidence that up to 70 people meet up at the same place and time every Wednesday night and head off on the same direction some where around the city for 2 hours.

The web designer of this site (me) is not responsible if you do something stupid because of this web site, if you do I will plead insanity, I have many people on the city skate that will hold proof to this in court if need be. You read this information at your own risk, if you do something stupid then you are an idiot and don't come crying to me about it. If you take this disclaimer too seriously or think its stupid then you have no scene of humor and are probably a very boring person.
