Photo Report Wed 26 Feb 2003 Hi Everyone,

I don't have time for a full report for tonight but here is a brief one and some photos.

On a night when David was having a rest we stood around waiting for someone to take the lead. As no one was offering and Will said that skating through the Cross felt like a City Skate I took the lead and went straight down the hill from the second meeting place (NOT) to Woolloomooloo. After calling everyone back we skated through the pedestrian plaza to the wave wall.

When we turned around to the steps there was hardly anyone up with us so after a quick skate back there were the stragglers getting a drink and food from the servo and Harrys Cafe de Wheels. After stamping up & down saying it was too early to stop (and understanding how David feels most nights) we took off to regroup at the top of the steps in Victoria St.

From here we went up to the El Alamien fountain where we waited for the lights to skate down the main street. We didn't stop until the end where I said we were going to skate down the bridge behind St Vincents Hospital to the back of Paddington. We waited for some time here until we got a phone call from all those who missed the bridge & went straight to Oxford St. Those who went the right way meandered through the back streets and we finally regrouped at the top of Oxford St near Centennial Park.

It was a quick skate down Moore Park Road and then the group nearly split as some thought they would go to another path. We skated in front of the SFS & Cricket Ground until we came to the entrance to Fox Studios. We had a quick skate in here and then took off as the Security seemed to be forming a posse. On our way past the Car Park someone suggested a run through here. With the Security in mind we all skated to the top ready for a quick run back down. This was a really fun run and the expected welcoming party were not at the bottom.

We didn't hang around but skated straight up Anzac Parade then Alison Rd to Wansey Rd and High St around Randwick Racecourse (no dogs there tonight, I guess they learnt their lesson Ryan). At the bottom of High St we turned back to Foveaux St as the time was getting on a lot.

With a quick uneventful run down Foveaux St it was then through the Central Tunnel to Harris St and a couple of runs down the Casino Hill.

It turned out a great night & I know I had a really good run. I hope everyone else had as good a time as I did (judging by some comments you all did).

That's it for me for now. I'm off for a couple of weeks holiday so see you all soon. I'll try & get a few photos of me in the Skate Bowl at Crescent Head, where I'm going, to put up.

Heve some good skates while I'm gone and listen to David (he does lead a good skate).

Web site Design and Data based Features by

Sydney Bladers is not run by any one, no one owns it, no one is responsible for it, this web site is designed to help this sorry bunch of bladers who meet up every Wednesday night for a great time, no meeting times are planed by anyone, it is just a freak coincidence that up to 70 people meet up at the same place and time every Wednesday night and head off on the same direction some where around the city for 2 hours.

The web designer of this site (me) is not responsible if you do something stupid because of this web site, if you do I will plead insanity, I have many people on the city skate that will hold proof to this in court if need be. You read this information at your own risk, if you do something stupid then you are an idiot and don't come crying to me about it. If you take this disclaimer too seriously or think its stupid then you have no scene of humor and are probably a very boring person.
