Skate Report Wed 29 Jan 2003 What a great skate it was tonight. It was good to see so many keen for a bit of a push and to keep together all night.

I have no idea where we went and skaterman(not) has given me an idea which I have copied below. Our official time keeper (Kim) did tell us that we skated for nearly 70% of the time which is a much better rate than earlier skates this year where we were stuck at about 50-50. A bit too much standing around.

The route we took (and we will accept some amendments) was,
Oxford St, Flinders St, Anzac Pde, Alison Rd (watch out for the dog) Well Ryan I guess that put a bit of a damper on your night but as soon as the dog came out of the garden with fangs bared and foaming at the mouth I guess he was fair game. Wansey Rd, High St, Anzac Pde, Todman Ave, Lenthal St, Epsom Rd, Joynton Ave, Hansard St, Portman St, across Bourke St to Elizabeth St, McEvoy St, Brennan St, Power Ave, Park Rd, Buckland St, Mitchell Rd, Henderson Rd, Railway Pde, Swanston St, King St, City Rd, Broadway, Jones St, Upper Fig St, Bullwarra Rd, Pymont Bridge Rd, Harris St (Casino Hill), Pyrmont Bridge, Pontoon Bar, Back to car (break in to Phil T's car), home (collapse).

What a great night. It was a long push and some of the downhills were pretty much fun. I even remember saying that one of the roads we went down was better than Foveaux. A few of us got three runs down the Casino Hill just to finish off. I still think we went up more than we went down though. It is a shame no one kept that stat.

Many thanks to David for a great route and to everyone else for keeping up.

Don't forget next Wed 5th is Virgin Night. Hope to see you all there.

Web site Design and Data based Features by

Sydney Bladers is not run by any one, no one owns it, no one is responsible for it, this web site is designed to help this sorry bunch of bladers who meet up every Wednesday night for a great time, no meeting times are planed by anyone, it is just a freak coincidence that up to 70 people meet up at the same place and time every Wednesday night and head off on the same direction some where around the city for 2 hours.

The web designer of this site (me) is not responsible if you do something stupid because of this web site, if you do I will plead insanity, I have many people on the city skate that will hold proof to this in court if need be. You read this information at your own risk, if you do something stupid then you are an idiot and don't come crying to me about it. If you take this disclaimer too seriously or think its stupid then you have no scene of humor and are probably a very boring person.
